Fundamental

REASONS TO VOTE

VOTING RIGHTS

Vote to make sure that politicians protect the people's right to vote by putting a stop to gerrymandering voting districts and other forms of voter suppression.

ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Vote in leaders who agree that human caused climate change is a serious problem, as about 97% of scientists have concluded. 

ON CLEAN AIR AND WATER

Vote to ensure that the politicians make laws that protect clean air and water, for the health of our bodies, for the true sustainability of our economies, and for the protection of our biosphere.

HEALTHCARE

Vote if you agree that no American should be afraid to go to a doctor for fear of going bankrupt.

MEDICARE

Vote if you want politicians who will at least protect Medicare, if not expand it to a much more extensive program.  We may all be in a spot in our lives where Medicare will be what saves us.

IMMIGRATION

Vote for politicians who agree that there should be a path to citizenship, especially for those who were brought here as young children (Dreamers).

LGBTQ+ RIGHTS

Vote to ensure that we have an inclusive society by ensuring that we have leaders who support same sex marriage, and protections against discrimination.

WOMEN'S HEALTH RIGHTS

Vote to ensure that women you know have a right to make choices about their own bodies and their reproduction.

REGULATING WALL STREET

Vote to ensure that the finances of the country are governed with an even hand in order to safeguard with regulations so that profiteers can't raid the housing market, our retirement accounts. Vote to protect all our rights as we work to contribute to society and make a living.

MONEY IN POLITICS

Vote to better protect our elections from manipulation by the anonymous ultra rich, those hiding behind corporations, and those pandering foreign influence.  Let's make sure each citizen's vote isn't cast based on deception, and that they can share their actual concerns with equal voice.

TAX CODES THAT ALLOW US

ALL TO PROSPER

Vote if you agree that the very wealthy should pay their fair share of taxes.  We need politicians who understand how to use taxes effectively to improve the quality of our lives.

GUN CONTROL

Vote to ensure that guns should be regulated sufficiently to prevent mass shootings and to deny people with a history of violence, threatening behavior, and abuse access to guns.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

Vote to ensure that your friends of color, friends of culture, and economic status can all experience the protections and opportunities of our nation.

RACIAL JUSTICE

Vote to let people know that Black Lives Matter.  Let them know that all of us deserve equal protection under the law and all of us the right to be treated with dignity and respect, indeed with opportunity.

SCIENCE

Eighty-one American winners of Nobel prizes in the fields of physics, chemistry and medicine, recently wrote: "At no time in our nation's history has there been a greater need for our leaders to appreciate the value of science in formulating public policy."  Vote to ensure that we have leaders that understand science and evidence-based thinking matters.
